Verse of the Week:
"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
Christ purchased our freedom from sin. Do not let sin drag you back into being its slave. Take time to discuss this verse with your family and talk about ways your family can safeguard against being taken captive of what Christ paid to free us from. Things like unhealthy entertainment, unforgiveness, harsh words, etc. can take us back to captivity.
We are praying for you as parents. The Lord is with you!

Family Night & Color Run -- Saturday, September 7
We are excited to announce that Family Night will be combined with the Color Run this year, taking place next week! To ensure the event runs smoothly, we need volunteers.
There are several ways you can contribute. Whether you're interested in bringing a yard game to share with others, helping prepare the meal during the day, assisting with setup or clean-up, or helping to ensure the race progresses without a hitch, your involvement would be greatly appreciated.
This year, the color stations will be organized by House, and we will coordinate with your House leaders to manage your designated station during the races. Your participation will not only enhance the experience for everyone but also foster a sense of community among families.
Thank you for considering volunteering for this special event! Together, we can make it a memorable occasion for all. Please email Mrs. Webb (hanna.webb@legacymail.org) to volunteer in any of these ways. Thank you!
LAUNCH and First Day of School!
What a fantastic time we had together at LAUNCH!
Excitement was in the air as we welcomed our students back to school, ready for a new adventure. LAUNCH set the stage for the new year, with an emphasis on "Stand Where God Is", "Be New!" and "We Need Each Other!" The whole school was split into four Houses, a new initiative to foster mentorship and rich community between students of all ages, teachers and whole families. We loved seeing our students find out which House they were in, pray for and encourage each other, and have fun in lots of different games and competitions. We are all excited for what is in store through our House system this year and into the future!
Upper Level students voted for their House Leaders (Rhetoric-level students) and House Envoys (Logic-level students), who also led a short devotional time for their houses on Friday morning. We are proud of them!

Senior Teams only will practice on Wednesdays 3-5p. Junior teams will not practice on Wednesdays.
Special team workouts and other special events will be announced in advance.
Athletes should only miss a practice for an excused absence by discussing directly with a Coach. Team sports have a difficult time building successfully when players skip practice. It isn't fair to their teammates or their coaches.
Once games begin, we will lose game-day practices.
