LA News -- Week of April 14th

Education Freedom Accounts (EFA) Applications NEED to be COMPLETED ASAP!

Remember that we will accept EFAs as 100% of your tuition obligation next year if you do not qualify for any other assistance. Actual tuition based on true operation costs would be $10,500 annually. However, LA will accept EFA as tuition paid in full. If you qualify for other assistance to cover the additional amount we will help you with those applications. This means we should be able to ensure that not a single LA family has any out-of-pocket tuition expenses! The number of EFAs is not unlimited and over 30,000 Arkansas students have already applied. DO NOT DELAY ANY LONGER. Please complete your application today. The office can help you if needed. If you end up not using it, that's no problem but don't miss the funds available for your student. Families who received EFA for the 2024-2025 school year must still reapply for next year. Families already receiving EFA will need your student(s) individual Student ID Number to complete the application. You can find this on your ClassWallet account.

Mark your calendars. Mrs, Mendoza's, Mrs. Wright's, Mrs. Kopyscinksi's, and Mrs. McCleskey's classes will travel to Beavers Bend Safari Park in Broken Bow, OK on Thursday, April 10th!

ACE Scholarship Applications Close April 15th

Get your applications and renewals in while you still can! The 2025-2026 ACE Scholarship applications will close on Tax Day (April 15, 2025) at 11:59 p.m. Detailed information for applying can be found on their website. ACE scholarship awards are first come, first served and income-based (see financial guidelines chart below). Students who received ACE last year are also required to complete an application. ACE can be used in combination with EFA funds, which is a critical way to help the school receive the full true amount of tuition per student. Please contact the Legacy office if you have any questions or need help with your application.

Spring Formal 4/26

All 9–12 grade students are invited to a magical evening of dancing, delicious food, and unforgettable fun on Saturday, April 26th, from 6:00–10:00 PM at the East Room in downtown De Queen. Parents are welcome to join the celebration with a purchased ticket. Tickets can be purchased online HERE or paid for in the front office.

To help everyone feel confident on the dance floor, dance practices will begin this week and parents are encouraged to join us! It’s a great chance to learn the moves, share some laughs, and get in on the fun. Practices will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays (not including good Friday) from 3:15 to 4:30 pm in the auditorium starting next week.

Spring Follies 10th Anniversary -- Take 2!

After a whirlwind of reschedules, surprise weather plot twists, and countless rehearsals, the 10th Annual Spring Follies: Take 2 finally took the stage — and what a show it was!

Thanks to the incredible hard work of our students (and maybe a tiny bit of crossed fingers), the night went off with plenty of heart, humor, and unforgettable performances. Laughter filled the room, and the joy was contagious. Bravo to all our talented performers and a huge thank you to everyone who made this special night possible — especially our dedicated teachers and parents. Your grace, patience, and support through all the changes and chaos made this joyful night a reality.

Bus Drivers & Substitutes Needed

We need substitutes who can help fill positions when a teacher is absent. We also need bus drivers to help transport students to athletic events and field trips. Please see the office for details on each of these. Thank you!
