Dress Code Reminder

As the weather warms up and Spring approaches, many parents are pulling out the lighter uniforms. A quick reminder: Your students have gotten taller! Be sure to check that all shorts and skirts reach the middle of the back of the knee.

Bus Drivers & Substitutes Needed

We need substitutes who can help fill positions when a teacher is absent. We also need bus drivers to help transport students to athletic events and field trips. Please see the office for details on each of these. Thank you!

Parenting Corner

When praying for your children, you can focus on asking God to protect them, guide them in their decisions, give them wisdom and strength, nurture their faith, and instill good character traits, while also expressing gratitude for the gift of your children and trusting in God's plan for their lives; you can personalize your prayers based on their specific needs and situations, using scripture as guidance.

Key points to include in your prayers:

  • Protection: Pray for God to keep your children safe from harm, both physical and spiritual.

  • Guidance: Ask God to guide your children in their choices, especially when facing difficult decisions.

  • Wisdom: Pray that your children will gain wisdom and discernment.

  • Character: Ask God to develop good character traits like honesty, integrity, kindness, and compassion in your children.

  • Faith: Pray that your children will grow in their relationship with God and have a strong faith.

  • Health: Pray for your children's physical and mental well-being.

  • Relationships: Ask God to bless their relationships with friends, family, and others.

  • Purpose: Pray that your children will discover their God-given purpose in life.

Example prayer:

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of my children. I pray that you would watch over them and protect them from harm. Guide them in their decisions, give them wisdom and strength to navigate life's challenges. Help them to grow in their faith and to live a life that honors you. May they always know your love and be surrounded by your grace. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Important considerations:

  • Be specific:

Tailor your prayers to each child's unique needs and situations.

    • Pray with sincerity:

Pray from your heart, expressing your genuine love and concern for your children.

    • Pray regularly:

Develop a habit of praying for your children consistently, throughout the day.

    • Incorporate scripture:

Use verses from the Bible that speak to the specific needs of your children.

    • Pray with your children:

When appropriate, involve your children in prayer time to teach them how to communicate with God.
