Warrior Day -- Friday, September 27
Warrior Day is September 27th!
This school-wide, all-day event consists of friendly competitions between navy and white teams, pizza for lunch, and fun time spent together as Warriors! Students will receive their Warrior Day shirts at the end of the day on Thursday, the 26th. Students should not cut or alter their shirts in any way. They should wear their shirt to school on Friday with their usual uniform bottoms. Students are permitted to show their warrior spirit by painting their faces or using temporary hair color!
We need parent volunteers to help things run smoothly. Volunteers will be asked to serve lunch, monitor games, manage small groups of students, and join in the fun! If you are available to help at any time on this day email Lynette.Gilmore@legacymail.org or call the office.
Go Warriors!

If you would like for your child to receive a flu vaccine you must return your signed content to the front office by October 3rd. Only students with a signed consent will receive a vaccine. If you have any questions, please call the office.
Athletic Booster Sponsors
Parents and Friends,
The athletic seasons are upon us and we need your help contacting local businesses to help support our programs. Booster sponsor information is available here.
If you have any questions, contact Mr. Smallwood.
Scholar Induction
We had a great night on Thursday celebrating Scholar Induction and having our students set in as Rookies, Protégés, Apprentices and Scholars. We are so thankful to have a school community that values the heart values above all else and that celebrates young men and women upholding these standards in their daily lives.
4-H Sign-Up
On Wednesday, the first 4-H meeting of the year was held in the cafeteria. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Bartek for hosting these!

Athletics
Lower Level PE
Attention Lower Level Parents: We are two weeks into the school year and need to remind our parents of the need for all students to have dedicated non-marking athletic shoes for gym floor use only. These are needed for their PE periods 3-4 days a week and are left in the gym. This is highlighted on a chart on page 31 of our handbook. If you have any questions, contact the office for answers.
Bus Drivers
We are in need of help to drive the bus for the upcoming year. If you are interested in helping with this, please let Mr. Smallwood know (tim.smallwood@legacymail.org). Legacy Academy will cover the cost of the CDL exam and a small stipend for driving is available.

Basketball Practice
Regular Practice Schedule:
All Basketball practices will happen after school this year.
All four teams (JG, JB, SG, SB) will practice from 3-5p M, Th, F this week. There is no practice on Tuesday due to the XC meet. If you are on the SG or SB team and not running XC, see Coach Gallagher for your after-school workout schedule on Tuesday.
Senior Teams only will practice on Wednesdays 3-5p. Junior teams will not practice on Wednesdays.
Special team workouts and other special events will be announced in advance.
Athletes should only miss a practice for an excused absence by discussing directly with a Coach. Team sports have a difficult time building successfully when players skip practice. It isn't fair to their teammates or their coaches.
Once games begin, we will lose game-day practices.
OTTER BASKETBALL WORKOUT 9/28-29
Elite Basketball Trainer Jason Otter will be with us on Saturday 9/28 and Sunday afternoon 9/29 for basketball workouts. All Senior and Junior High team members for boys and girls should plan to attend. The session will begin at 8 am Saturday and 230 pm Sunday. There is no cost for team members, which is a tremendous bargain for players and their development.
